DOGE Executive Orders Center for Government Contracting

Implements systems to process and collect tariffs for covered goods from China, which were formerly exempted from duties under the "de minimis" legal exception. The intent behind this EO is to prevent China from hiding illicit substances in low-value shipments to the United States.

Orders the Secretary of Commerce to establish a U.S. Investment Accelerator office within the agency to modernize domestic and foreign investment processes. The Accelerator will assist investors in navigating U.S. government regulatory processes and help reduce other burdens to investments and improve efficiency.

Sets forth immediate measures for initiating, expanding, and expediting domestic mining projects. Rescinds requirements and regulations perceived as stifling the supply or use of domestic mineral resources, and vests responsibility with the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Energy, Secretary of the Interior, and CEO of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) to prioritize mineral production via new prospective development sites, the listing of mineral production as an Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment Program priority development area, the invocation of Defense Production Act Title III authorities, and other mechanisms.

Aims to reinvigorate the General Services Administration (GSA) as a tool for promoting effiency. Empowers the GSA Administrator to oversee government acquisition contracts for IT, and to prepare a plan for consolidating the domestic procurement of "common goods and services" based on proposals from agency heads.

The head of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service told employees at a Thursday meeting that the agency will “do about $400 billion” in procurement management under this effort.

Prioritizes infrastructure and national preparedness and response efforts. Stresses a need for greater efficiency through the increased role of state and local governments. Kickstarts the creation of a National Resilience Strategy to articulate policy and recommendations for advancing resilience and national emergency preparedness. APNSA will recommend any recissions and revisions to current preparedness and response policies.
