Ted (Fikret) Polat

Ted F. Polat received his PhD in Accounting from the University of Maryland in 2020 and joined George Mason in January 2020.  He also holds masters degrees in Accounting and Economics from the University of Missouri - Columbia, and a bachelors in Computer Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey.  His research interests are in financial accounting and the impact of technology in the accounting domain.  His professional experience includes developing accounting and financial software to a major bank.  He currently teaches Accounting Analytics.
