Biography
Judy L. Redpath specializes in working with entrepreneurs, small business owners, executives and professionals and their families across the United States, overseeing their family finances, focusing on the accumulation, distribution, preservation and strategic transfer of wealth.
Judy has been honored as a 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 Forbes America’s Top Women Wealth Advisor Best-in-State1, and has received the national Women’s Choice Award® Financial Advisor consistently 2014 through 20252. Judy was named to George Mason University’s Costello College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council in December 2024.
Following successful careers as a management consultant and in the high-tech industry, Judy started her business in 1996. Judy received her BA in French and an MA in West European Studies from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN and her MBA at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
In October 2006, Judy founded VISTA Wealth Strategies to provide a holistic, independent approach to financial planning and wealth management. She is an Investment Adviser Representative offering advisory services through Commonwealth Financial Networkâ, a Registered Investment Adviser.
She was a founding member of George Mason University’s Financial Planning and Wealth Management Advisory Board. Judy is past president and past chair of the National Capital Area Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. She is immediate past Chair of the Business Women’s Giving Circle in Northern Virginia Judy served as a member of the Pentagon 9/11 Survivors Distribution Committee from 2006 until it ceased operations in 2008. She is a member of the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and served on its Board of Directors from 2005-2011. She is past President of the Dulles Rotary Club, a member of the Herndon Rotary Club, and an alumna of Leadership Fairfax, Inc. VISTA Wealth Strategies and Judy were a 2008 Best of Reston awardee for community service3.
Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Judy maintains her love of the West. She resides in the Herndon/Reston, VA area. Judy enjoys travel, music, cooking, theatre, the arts, photography, reading, nature, Pilates and watching college basketball.
