Case Competition Overview:
Aprio's annual Case Competition is an event where 15-20 groups of 4-5 underrepresented minority students will compete to find a solution to a complex case relating to tax and advisory. The groups will be presented with the case on Friday, October 27th. They will have a week to examine the case, with the aid of their Aprio Team Advisor, and will virtually present their solutions that address the needs and implications of the assigned case on November 3rd, 2023. The top three teams with the best solutions will walk away with a scholarship (1st: $14,000, 2nd: $7,000, 3rd: $4,000)!
The purpose of Aprio’s case competition is to create a supportive and empowering environment that introduces students of diverse backgrounds to learn more about the accounting field, and also create a pipeline to increase diversity and inclusion at Aprio. Majority of our participants will have the opportunity to interview for internships—Over 70% of participants received offers in 2022!
