Do you like Hot Sauce!?!
My small (it’s just me) local product design and development company is looking for a Marketing Lead through internship. I’ll be honest: “We” make great, unique hot sauces and have a patent pending for an innovative table gaming product, but we stink at social media and marketing in general.
We are looking for someone to run our social media accounts and to generally spread the word, and attend some events as our hot sauce booth representative. We already have several thousand hot sauce bottles produced, all official, FDA-approved recipe, processes, and facility. The position is remote, but we will be doing some in-person events.
You can check out the Don Horné hot sauces at hornesauce.com
Applicants should be completing their third year undergraduate or greater with focus in a Marketing (or similar) program.
Your day to day tasks will look something like this:
- Social media posts
-
- Frequency is up to your own creativity, minimum 3 posts per week across FB, Insta, Twitter, etc.
- You can generate your own content, follow popular (relevant) memes, report from previous, use some of our content, or anything else you can think of.
-
- Searching for market opportunities
-
- Farmers markets, breweries, wineries, local community or sporting events, etc.
- Understand registration deadlines, costs, and open dates
- Meeting with CEO weekly to register, schedule, and plan events
-
- Searching for sales opportunities
-
- These will be ad-hoc as your comfort increases
- Supporting document template development (Bill of Sale, “Sale or Return” forms, associated tracking
-
- Attending weekend market events when possible
-
- This is fun more than work, but we also want to make it worth your time by generating and sharing revenue
- These are also obvious ways to generate social media content
-
I want to build a continuous working relationship with our new Marketing Lead as we continue to push out more products (more sauces, our patented product, information websites already in play) so we grow as a company and your portfolio and success grows as well. My hope is that your post-undergrad resumé says something like “Grew local hot sauce company sales revenue by 450% as a marketing intern”. But my real hope is you are employee #1 as we become a real company with employees.
We will be sharing the increased hot sauce revenue in a manner consistent with this unpaid internship since I’m only one person and we don’t have any employees.
I look forward to meeting with you and telling you all about these amazing products we’ve made so far, how we can share in the revenue generated, and what’s to come.
Please send resumes with cover letters to dan@hornesauce.com
