The George Mason University Early Identification Program (EIP) is now accepting applications for the Summer Academy Mentor position. The Early Identification Program is a college access program, which supports the academic, career, and personal/social development of first-generation college-bound middle and high school students throughout seven public school counties in Northern Virginia.
Summer Academy is a 3-week, intensive personal and educational development program that EIP (eip.gmu.edu) provides for over 600 Northern Virginia high school students every summer. Summer Academy Mentors will be responsible for facilitating college and career readiness activities, mentoring, and follow-up with students between grades 9-12. Additional responsibilities might include making phone calls, assisting teachers with classroom management, and tracking student attendance.
This position will be fully in-person on Mason's Fairfax Campus.
Summer Academy Program Dates: July 11-29, 2022 from 8AM-3PM
